  • Flickering and surfaces sharing space

I have two transparent objects sharing the same plane and it causes flickering when the objects move. I am using max 2021 and vray 5.

it happens between the first and second frame. Secondary ray bias is enabled

As far as I know, it's never a good idea to have polygons that are visible to the camera sharing exactly the same surface area. Just nudge away one of the surfaces a little, by 1-2 mm for example, so that they are no longer touching. The Push modifier is very useful in such cases.
    Max 2023.2.2 + Vray 6 Update 2.1 ( 6.20.06 )

That is usually how I do it. But with this model it is impossible to change the geometry
