    Hi There
    Could you please look into this weird bug.
    I use inherit visibility a lot during my assembly animations.
    How ever I noticed that once I started using the GPU engine. some objects did not respect the gradual fade that others did. The problem objects only had visibility either full on, or full off.

    The problem seems to be layered /multi materials. see image.

    Could you please download the file, and see if the problem persists with your machines.

    Yes, visibility values other than 1 and 0 do not work in GPU when the object has a multi-sub material applied. The issue is already logged (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-3681). I'll raise its priority additionally.
