I have a serious issue with Vray5 rendering:
I got a new Mac Studio (M1 Ultra) with 128GB RAM, macOS Monterey 12.4
Installed C4D R25 and V-Ray 5 (v.5.20.05)
Following happens:
1. I open a project (pretty easy, only 25MB in geometry and about 12 simple materials)
2. Open V-Ray VFB
3. Start "interactiv rendering"
4. Everything fine
5. Start "Render"
6. C4D crashes without warning and without any report in the Vray-Buglist-folder
With a bigger file (250MB geometry, 40 simple textures) I have this issue too:
- Start "Render"
- It starts "preparing scene"
- as soon as it comes to "building light cache" C4D crashes
- C4D crashes even when I start "interactiv rendering" in the V-Ray VFB
Rendering on the chaos cloud (same files) works fine!
What can I do? Is this a known issue?
