  • Vray Material editor issue

I cannot for the life of me figure out the issue in the attached image. Im not getting a proper viewport representation of the material. I have checked the assigned renderer and its all vray. I have switched it etc. Any help?

It seems your "Native 3ds max material swatches" option (Render Setup > Settings > Global Switches) is active. Try turning it off and updating the shader.

That's odd. Because what's shown in the screencap is the 3ds max native swatches. Does it happen on a fresh scene? For starters, you can try a reinstall or a reset to the 3ds Max defaults.

I meant a fresh V-Ray install. Try that first.

I actually did that before I posted this. I upgraded to the latest vray version and nothing changed.

I see. Try resetting 3ds Max to its defaults as well.

Do you have any unusual Environment Variables set, which may relate to the issue?
