You will need to go as far back as 472 drivers to avoid the issue, this old driver doesn't support Ada GPUs sadly hence we cannot recommend it officially(it should be better with Ampere GPUs like 3090)

I would like to take a look at your setup via Team Viewer, could you please write me your Email. I will be in touch

        Hi Vladimir

I have the same problem as these users.
        - Yes, the latest versions of Vray and drivers have been updated.
        - Yes, the tests were done on benchmarks. The result is edifying. Cf PJ.

There is a performance bug with the current Nvidia drivers, with GPUs connected to monitors. We are working closely with them on this topic
This behavior affects all GPU loads, including Vantage and V-Ray GPU and even video games. So this is not specific to Chaos products
How many cards do you have in your machine?
Is there a chance we have a remote session to check your setup?

          Best,

          Hi Muhammed

Okay. That must be it, then. We have to wait.
          ...
It’s just not what I’ve observed in my experience :

          - My Rtx 4090 does wonders with 3D Mark, Valley Benchmark, cinebench and Furmark.
          - Works perfectly with twinmotion, D5 Render, Arnold, Cycle, Unreal engine (average rendering time is divided by at least 4).
          - The power gain with most of the games I’ve tested is considerable.

I can send test results if needed (I have already did it with V-Ray Benchmark).
Only the VRay Gpu render crashes and freezes for me.

I got the same. Works great with fstorm, vray bench, chaos vantage and one game I tried. Only VRay GPU is bad.

Hi, christophe_corbier, Jiri.Matys if you have tried everything Muhammed_Hamed have advised, please send us a scene that is as simplified as possible that still reproduces the issue. Please do that here or use the support contact form.

Jiri.Matys has been kind enough to share his setup with us. We also took a look at his machine via remote access, this behavior is not about the driver bug with performance. We found multiple things specific to his scene, we will be sharing a conclusion soon

                      Hello.
I have done some extensive testing on latest vray benchmark and our max file, with 531.41 recommended drivers on 2x, 4x, 6x and 8x RTX 4090 and RTX 3090.

The conclusion I reached is, both 3090 n 4090 do not work in full load if more than 4x cards are used. in some cases even 3x and 4x gpu dont work in full load. in 2x mode they work fine in benchmarks and scene max file. Ideally I have noticed if the benchmark is running in full load then even vray max file will render in full load.

I am attaching the log message from vray and GPU load screenshot where the GPU load varies constantly.
                      This needs to be fixed.

I have access to a machine with 3x4090s and another machine with 8x 3090tis, this is what we use for our internal testing.
This scaling depends on the nature of the scene if you have an empty sky for example this is not gonna work well for the GPU utlization, the CUDA benchmark of V-Ray 5 is not great for scaling but the RTX benchmark I have found to be reliable.
We also have a new Benchmark tool, I have tweaked the new benchmark scene to have the best possible GPU usage. I'm getting great results with up to 8 GPUs in my testing, I can get you access to this new Benchmark tool and some of our testing regarding performance scaling. Please let me know if you are interested

Thanks for asking, would really want to get the hands on new benchmark tool, but just too tired up in between 2 projects. have to get the optimal render speeds for both projects, so have to excuse my self for the test.

But that beings said, just test 8x rtx 3090 in RTX mode, got the best score of 17366, highest of all test done, with driver version 472.84. gpu computation load was upto 85% 90 % most of the time in vray benchmark. picture attached.

Does this mean the GPU utilization is better with 472.84 drivers compared to 5xx ?
If it is the case I will investigate

Also i have noticed from the benchmark scores are very high when used on Linux server in rtx for scaling like 8x, 12x 14x.
