  • GPU Mesh Clipper with motion blur

Wow I just noticed this has actually been implemented now, that's cool.

Question though, when I enable motion blur on a vray physical cam in May it seems to disable the mesh clipper (but works fine in CPU), is this a bug or just limited functionality on GPU, would be cool if it has feature parity to CPU

Hey GregCooper, it should work in V-Ray GPU. Could you attach a simple scene?

Has this been implemented in Maya 2025 V-Ray 6? I'm using a V-Ray clipper (not as a mesh, just the Clipper Gizmo) to swipe over a mesh and it's giving me absolutely no motion blur, neither on GPU or CPU, and GPU also gives me artifacts...

Is there a way to enable it? I've tried using Motion blur using on the physical cam, and via the override in Render Settings.

I've tried it with Mesh mode both on and off.

Edit: It works if using a mesh as the clipper, rather than the gizmo. No help needed, ignore the above! A note that it doesn't work with the gizmo might be useful in the help documents though.

This should also work if you key the object rather than the VRayClipper (gizmo mode).
