Hi guys,
I want to share my issue regardind to this topic. Today I had the same problem, all of a sudden the VRay GPU render stopped working after a 3dsmax crash.. I thought maybe some chaos server file was still loaded into memory and was giving this glitch...
But then I thought looking into the Log file.. and for my surprise the last error was:
And I was using just my RTX4090.. never touched the Distributed Rendering ON option!!!! So maybe a bug, maybe a hidden shortcut I might be pressed and it just turned it on... I wanted to share this so the devs could say if there is such chance for this option be enable by accident..
So other than that, it was just turn this option OFF, and the GPU render get back working again.. Yet using the latest Studio Driver v.555.85, and not the recommended version stated at the https://www.chaos.com/vray-gpu page
My best,
