  • vrayslave crashes when using CUDA engine

    Just what the title says. It happens regardless of the Maya scene I use. My current test scene is a polysphere on a plane and one Rect Light. Here's the info...

    Mac OS 10.9.2
    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770

    NVIDIA driver = 331.01.01f04
    GPU driver = 8.25.9 (331.01.01f04)
    CUDA = 6.0.37

    Maya 2015 SP2

    I see people posting .dmp files when v-ray crashes but I'm not sure where those files are saved. If that info would be helpful then let me know and I'll post it as well.

    Edit: I've also tried the latest CUDA driver (6.0.46) and gotten the same result.

    Thanks!

    Unfortunately, We have never been able to get the GPU to work properly on Mac OS.

    Best regards,

      NOOOO! I was so looking forward to playing with that.

      So... In Mac OSX, V-Ray RT doesn't work on CUDA or OpenCL, correct? Are there plans to get it working in v3.0?

      Thanks, Vlado!
