  • Saving Image restarts RT (CPU) rendering

Not a big deal but to try and save a draft image while RT (CPU) is rendering causes the render to restart.
I can press 'pause' then save image then 'resume', but if it was an easy fix it might be preferable to be able to to save 'on-the-fly'.

Are you using the V-Ray VFB for the saving?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Ok. What file format are you saving to?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

When I click 'Save current channel' the dialogue box pops up but already the rendering has restarted before I get chance to type a filename or choose a file format.

          Max 2015 SP3
          Vray 3.10.03

As I say, I can pause it, save image, then resume - but wasn't sure if it needs to be like this.

          Many thanks

Odd - after a restart of Max the problem doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

Incidentally though, when selecting any VrayHDRI material in the compact material editor window (not changing the HDRI or altering it in any way, but simply clicking once on it to make it the current selected material) does seem to restart the RT render in VrayFB (whereas clicking once on a 'VrayMTL' in the same material editor window does not restart the RT render.

Yes, it happens to me when the map is assigned to the light texture slot. I believe it's the same in your scene.
Maybe we can fix it for the next service pack, I have to check that.
