  • Can't rotate HDRI with CUDA

I can't rotate the HDRI horizontally and vertically in the VrayHDRI map when rendering with CUDA and when the HDRI is in the Environment slots of the Production renderer. It works fine with RT CPU. Is this limitation with CUDA?

    Try the following:

Set the production renderer to Vray. Create a VrayHDRI map and put some HDRI texture in it. Drag as instances the VrayHDRI map to the "GI environment" and "Reflection/refraction environment" in the Environment tab. Switch to Active shade mode and select Vray RT as renderer. Put it in CUDA mode and hit Render. While the image is being rendered, change the horizontal or vertical rotation of the HDRI texture in the VrayHDRI map.

I found a workaround. If the HDRI is in a Dome light instead of the environment slots, rotation works.

Hm, I thought we fixed this - will check it out.

Actually the rotation works in CUDA, you just have to restart Active Shade on every change. Still a bug though, thanks
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
