  • Memory release during VRay render !

As it is now when doing a (VRay) render, RT stops using proc.speed, but the used memory is not released. I really would like to see an option to have RT release memory without the need to close the ActiveShade window, and especially during render !

That would mean that the ActiveShade rendering will have to be restarted once the production rendering is complete (e.g. re-sending the scene, re-loading textures etc). It is not so much of an issue to do it, I think; but I don't know if it might not be a problem for some cases?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

I know what you mean. That's why an option would be nice. Either in the settings or as a prerender script that can be attached to a shortcut that shuts down RT. Is there no way to share resources between VRay and RT ?

Ok I see; will make a note of this.

It is not easy; both use completely different approaches to rendering. It might have been possible, but wouldn't have allowed us to do what we wanted.
