Any idea when we will see an update?

The update will come sometime after Siggraph; is there anything in particular that you are looking forward to? (It may be possible to get you an update sooner than an official release).

    Best regards,
    Vlado

My vote would go to a gamma/LWF fix...

I haven't been using RT since getting it because of the conflict with LWF - it doesn't make sense to me to change the way I work and get satisfactory renders for the sake of RT's previewing capability when I know a fix is on the way - I'd rather just wait, but it seems to be taking awhile

Please keep me on the list for any pre-release updates!

      Many thanks,
      Steve

really its the curve editor for the vfb that would be excellent, as well as some way to do an animation preview.

You can work great with LWF and RT !
Just in max preferences make sure You have set LWF (gamma 2.2 and so on) and in VRay Color mapping set Reinhard and Bright 0.454 and Gamma 1.0.

VRay RT gamma is pushed to 2.2 by max preferences. VRay frame buffer (if you use it, i think so) is pushed to 2.2 by sRGB button! render is absolutelly same like in RT! And if You wanna other gamma in a render, you can do it post.

I wanna see working ambient occlusion in RT and third party texturing plugins (Bercon and Simbiont).

And what about mayby Environmental Fog without textures ? I think its fast without textures.
And FastSSS2 is really fast too with most of objects/test a made, so I think RT can hadle this too.

So your saying that in order for me to get RT to match what is being rendered by Vray's main engines I need to change my color mapping values (Multiplier & Gamma)? If that's what your saying I agree that this work around does seem to get me at least 90% there but there are still differences and it's very inconvenient to have to switch back and forth between settings.
