  • Vray ScanMaterial questions - possible to mix it with channels from other Materials e.g. color, reflection, bump/normal?

    Hi,
I am testing the first time VRay scans.
    an have these questions:
    - is there a way to add additional bump and normal maps to this material?

    - is there a way to mix the output channels (color, reflections, bump etc.) individually with other materials or textures?
Of course I can blend the material, but how could I get control over the single channels?

Because we have in this material no inputs (which I often use with layered textures), I am wondering if there is maybe another way to customize it further.
(would be a bit like the workflow Substance Painter)

    Many thanks.

    Hi,
    - Yes, you can add additional bump using the VRayBump material
    - Certain channels are accessible through render elements, for example the clear coat reflections. But keep in mind that the scans are based on photos and you have less control compared to the standard cg material.
