3D render or photo shoot?

Do you think this is real or 3D?

I’m saying its a photo shoot but my boss says not. What do you think?

This is an interesting one. I really don’t think this is 3d. The reason being is that it is such high quality, that likely it does not justify the cost. It would be cheaper to photograph/film this. The fine details are so perfect that it is next to impossible to replicate that in 3d. With that said, it is possible to do this in 3d with insane amount of resolution and attention to detail. It’s a really cool presentation.

I would say those are most likely renders.

Here is a comparison between a real photo available on their website and the render, notice the difference in tolerance, the sharpness of the decals and the deformation of the grid (in the accessory the grid is perfectly straight).

Renders, without a doubt.
I’ll buy a hat and eat it if it turns out that it was some insanely set up photoshoot…I can’t imagine how difficult that would be to control and post-produce :stuck_out_tongue:

what makes me feel like its a render is the motion in the video. feels like CG in the way the object and camera moves and the overall feel.
