a potential new Customer wants to replace their catalogue Photos with
3D Images. I took a random photo from their recent catalogue an
tried to recreate it in 3D. Modeling and shading was made in one day.
The rendering took less than an hour in screen resolution.
comments welcome,
That looks really good. They are very close! I think it will be a lot harder though when you don’t have photo’s to replicate, and you have to create virtual sets on your own. For instance, would you have know to add those reflective caustics from the sink on the wall? Will they have a creative director or set designer that will help you create the right look?
without the photo as a reference, i am guessing you would get a lot of resistance to the caustics from the sink in a rendering. …at least from my experience, someone would fixate on that, an tell you that they feel it is wrong, even though it is right.
the renderings are great. I got a similar project and it’s not so easy to get photorealistic images without a reference. but I curious about your results.
