3DRnB Museum Scene - Vray 5.2

Hi everyone
I wanted to share with you our latest scene, the Museum.

It is inspired by the MAXXI museum in Rome by Zaha Hadid, it’s the same scene I’ve used for the D2 Workshop D2 Holidaytime Spectacular 2021 - V-ray 5 for Cinema 4D Mini-Workshop 9th December @15:00 CET - General - Chaos Forum and is specifically conceived to get the best out of Vray 5.2 update new features.

After the Workshop I’ve worked a lot to add more assets, improving geometric detail, shaders and lighting. Now it is finally completed and will be ready for sale in time for Christmas, as always we will offer a discounted price for the first couple weeks and for people that have attended the live workshop we will have a special coupon with further discount

Here are a few images For the floor concrete I’ve used both the UVW Randomizer and the Multisubtex shader, plus several layers of dirt, I’ve also fixed some visible tiling issues on the pebbles. Illuminated using a Physical sun and an overcast HDR:

Some other views with overcast HDR sky. I added more leaves on the floor and some tire trails and now it seems more convincing. On the entrance view I’ve created other details:

A couple views with a blue hour mood, for the general view I’ve used the Physical sun while for the view on glass facade I used an HDR:

The same view in daylight and a detail on the concrete wall. I’ve added several layers of dirt and now the concrete looks much better:

Two different moods, golden hour using Physical sun and fog using HDR plus environment fog:

All the surrounding buildings are modeled, of course details are not perfect but they are good enough for the purpose. For the grass I’ve used the new thin walled SSS and it’s working nicely. All leaves are scattered using the R25 scatter pen tool, I love it

A couple concrete details. For the second view I took inspiration from a real photo and it’s really amazing how close the physical sky matches a real sky:

Here is the real photo for reference:

A couple night views, the first comes straight from the VFB, for the second I’ve added the automatic corrections from the PS camera raw filter:

I’ll post some other views tomorrow, as always comments to improve the scene are welcome

A couple more details:

And two more general views:

My Goodness, this is impressive, excellent work,

I was playing with the scene using the latest build and I’ve done some experiment with a Black and White mood.
I’ll try to post a small tutorial about how to get this look
