Plugins need to be recompiled. We plan to release official builds with V-Ray 3.6 a bit later on, but in the meantime if you email us to support@chaosgroup.com we can provide you with an experimental build. Best regards, Vlado

If you read the comments on cgpress where one Autodesk employee defends the 2018 release. I find the explanation for this “lackluster” release it pretty insulting. Stating that you can’t make everyone happy is obviously true but cheering bug fixes and improvements on broken features as great reason…

we have to face it …we will get SHIT!!! if you have a look across the internet there is not much happening…no real protests (apart from that petition), no action they will just get away with it and they know it i will not be the one who will shout here that i will make a jump to Blender or Houdin…

I did. I opened it and after 2 min I closed it with no intentions of using it. The interface bugs alone are enough for me to skip this service pack of a release.
