3Ds Max crashes when using network rendering

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up network rendering on my pc but whenever i hit the render button it shows on the render slave that everything has come through and its says it starts rendering for a couple of second but then max force closes.
Not sure if I have set it up wrong or something, i have tried updating my Vray version and my Max version on both machines but doesn’t seem to be making a difference.
I have also tried setting up a scene with literally just a cube and one light but it still crashed.

Main machine:
Xeon E3-1240v5
Quadro P2000
32gb DDR4

Slave:
i9 7940x
RTX 2080
64GB DDR4

Wrong setup shouldn’t lead to crash anyway. Ok let’s do the following, instead of submitting a DR job to the slave machine log in into it and start 3dsMax manually, then try to render one of those scenes previously crashed and see if it works as expected or not.

Thanks for getting back to me, i tried rendering just normally on both machines and it worked completely fine.

I completely uninstalled vray on the slave machine and restarted, DR is now working for CPU but not GPU

Thanks for the feedback. Can we now try to render with GPU only on the slave machine without using DR. Just log on into the slave machine, start 3dsmax, create a very simple scene and run GPU rendering. Let me know if this works or not.

Just tried this and it works completely fine.
