a few plants.........

Hi guys,
here is an image I have been working on for a little while which has finally been signed off by the client (after many many many many revisions!)

It was done with max 8 and no proxies.

Rendered in 6hours at 5k with the 4 dual quad xeons.

let me know what you think.

mmm

I love the detail models of the plants, they all look absolutely realistic. I don’t know if it’s possible to better textures, especially for the bigger leaves, their green look somehow too “even”.

The stones can also have more texture, some of them look too smooth.

One thing I’m wondering is if you were the one to choose the lighting in the image, because I guess the scene would look better if lit from a different angle.

Again, its a very, very nice image

 needed 2nd look to see the render!!
damn nice!!

Re: a few plants…

Can you tell as a little about the plants modeling, what plugs did you use? the scene looks very very realistic! you did a good job.

Wow, that looks amazing. I too would be interested to know what plants plugin/app you used. What was the poly count?

Outstanding work fella!

Nothing to say… acme of perfection!

Very nice jacks, love the tree ferns 8)

i’m impressed dude. bought or made plants?

nice, but do i see some triangular faces, possibly untextured, on the foreground plant, near the top of the picture?

The rest is stunning, as per usual.

i didn’t see it at first, but looking at lele’s reply i started to look for
the triangular faces, but couldn’t find it, instead, i found this

Great render CJ.

Very minor, mind you…
