Is there any particular reason why I should buy VrayRT it in the UK and not the US?
I notice that its cheaper if I buy it in US $$.
Trinity - $300 = £180
BlueGFX - £226.36+vat total £260.32

You should buy it from Trinity3D, i believe they are the cheapest. And they also have very fast and good support
What a rip! Why is the UK one so dear?!
Im kinda used to it.. But regarding other softwares (adobe/autodesk) you have to buy it from the country you reside in to be eligable for updates and support.
But that may not be the case with chaosgroup/Vray, and if I can buy from the States I will do.
Vlado, do you have a policy regarding this?
You will receive support and updates no matter where you get it from.
Best regards,
Vlado
brilliant, I think I’ll buy it in that case!
trinitry3d just raised their price to 355$ for european customers…
so what do we do now? pose as americans in the order form? ![]()
european software dealer mafia strikes again…
just goes to show
you should have kept schtum
schtum? what?
i should have kept stumm? ![]()
Yeah, very upset about this, seems a very cheap move by them.
On the other hand, I might not have noticed it was there in the 1st place. But it seems pretty unfair that given theres no actual phisical product we should be penalised for it. I purchased loads of software from the States, and Iv always paid in $$.
Are there any other resellers?
Or is this just the policy of Chaos Group?
I got mine yesterday from asgvis for $299, all good so far
Jim from Trinity3d explained to me that chaos wouldn’t let him to register my purchase at the price of 299$, because I’m european.
He offered me compensation for future purchases, because the pre-order form didn’t state this.
I’m not going to fight for 56$, so i payed the additional amount, but I’d like some explanation from chaos, because right now, I feel a bit ripped of.
I know that this is often the case with other software too, like my antivirus fee costs more if I use an european registration address.
Still, I’d like to understand the reason for this.
As i said, next time, I pretend being american (with broken english) ![]()
cheers! just bought 2 copys ar $299 each.
Dos anyone knows what the procedure is after we have purchased Vray RT and how long it takes before we can download the full version?
Preisler
Just had our order mysteriously canceled by Asgvis - No explanation as yet
It would be handy to know if Chaos Group have a policy on not selling at the same price to Europians, atleast that way I would know not to waste my time

Well, I posted.
I pretty disapointed with Chaos Group about this. I would be happy to pay more for the product if the costs where the same for everyone. But at the moment I feel like Im having to pay more just for being a EU citizen.
Oh well.
Well, Iv just heard back about my RT Asgvis order. Turns out its NOT Chaos Groups policy to sell RT to me at the same rate as the rest of the non EU world - other than simple discrimation I really cant think why Chaos Group would do this, Iv asked for an explanation but no one seems willing to talk about it.
Even though Vlado said he didnt care were we got our copys of VrayRT somone at Chaos group clearly does.
Also..I dont really want to deal with BlueGFX, does anyone know of any other uk based resellers?
The whole thing is not quite clear to me yet (that’s why I avoid posting anything on the matter), but I was told that, with certainty, you can purchase from any reseller in the EU.
Best regards,
Vlado
