I use both 3DS Max and Cinema 4D and I’m wondering if its possible to alternate the license between different applications? Random thought that occurred to me yesterday.

yeah there was mention of a universal license which would be awesome, but cant get any dates or info from chaosgroup.

The V-Ray Workstation license is separate for each platform and not interchangeable. Chaos Group’s V-Ray Render Nodes licenses are universal (they are platform-independent, but tied to the major version of our products) and support a wide range of V-Ray applications.

Yeah, we’ve been asking for this for a while. They have mentioned that they are working on it. is already 2020 any update on the universal license?
I would like know that too… I have a 3ds max license and I’m planning to switch to another software for AEC so 3ds max is part of my AEC license.
