Ambient Lighting/Gaps

Ever since I upgraded to the latest version I’m getting really distorted lighting. It appears like there are gaps at wall joins (nothing in the model) and daylight is coming through in random places. Take a look at this pano:

Thoughts?

Hi @bkhebdon

thanks for your report! This behavior is called light leaking, which unfortunately happens sometimes in real-time rendering when the occluding geometry is very thin. However it’s seldomly as severe as shown in your panorama. That’s something we’ll definitely look into!

What you could do in the meantime is basically to thicken the roof geometry and see if the issue is reduced.

The roof geometry is over a 12" thick and the wall assembly is 9" thick.

Do you have an example of this model rendered correctly with a previous version?

I am sure that would be very informative to the Enscape team.

Unfortunately no. I upgraded right at the time the new version was issued.

You can download and install the previous version again to test it. There’s a link to previous versions on the download page.

I would hope that light leaking is getting better, not worse…
