Its probably been asked a million times but it seems the main thing Enscape is missing is the ability to import and animate fbx models. (For me at least)
So my question is:
Is this a planned feature and if so how long should we expect to wait?
Alternatively a complete scene export to fbx would also be great and would allow me to add animations in external software (such as blender) but I image lots of exported settings wouldnt cross over in their entirety.
Thanks!
@Grimmy , thanks for your post and welcome to our forum.
We’ll offer the ability to import your own Assets with 2.9, but animated objects may not be supported by then - we are aware of the demand, as you’ve stated already, and I will also further forward your feedback to our developers.
To avoid confusion for newcomers… we currently can use our own 3d library files (ie. fbx) just not animated one.
The “Assets” that Demian mentioned is simply the ability to have your own elements show up in the Asset Library.
To add to the confusion, Enscape has recently begun introducing “animated” grass (and I think leaves) This is much simpler to implement, so I would not take this as a sign of they will support animated objects any time soon.
@renderwiz thanks for adding this as a clarification.
We do not officially support it, but if its of interest @Grimmy , check out this post here: Tutorial: how to create custom Enscape assets
