Few weeks ago STEAM forced user to install the new NVIDIA driver otherwise steamVR won’t launch.
After the driver update, the performance of Enscape VR was awful ||
higher delay in movement and screen jiggles when adjusting time.
I was running Enscape on GTX 1080ti, before it was running smooth on high quality, now it can barely run medium quality.
and I cannot revert the driver version! My system just not letting me do it, said “no 7z archive” when I uninstall newer driver and install an older driver.
Does anyone experience the same issue? ?( ?( ?(
Very sorry to hear about that @Eric_Hsu , so, are these performance problems also persisting in other 3D applications, games and so on or is it just Enscape? This problem is occurring with our latest release? Please make sure you’re up to date, how so is described here.
Also, (if it’s persisting with our latest version) please try the “Method 1” from the following page to roll back to a previous (fully functioning) NVIDIA driver:
https://appuals.com/rollback-nvidia-drivers/
Afterward, (if you were successful) kindly let us know if reverting to an older driver is indeed helping. Thank you also in advance for any further feedback!
Hi,
Thanks for your prompt and professional reply,
The performance problems also happen on other apps like Unreal engine, so it is a NVIDIA driver issue.
After revert to 2018/8 versions, performance of enscape is back to normal.
Happy to hear that @Eric_Hsu , hope NVIDIA resolves this soon.
