Assets are placed in an incorrect layer

Hi,

I’m noticing that the asset block gets assigned into the current layer in rhino but the geometry inside the block is assigned into a layer called Layer 01.

If Layer 01 doesn’t exist it gets automatically created when i place the asset. If the layer exists then a new Layer is created automatically called Layer 120.

I don’t think this is intended, so most likely a bug?

Hi @FloatingVolume

Apologies for the late reply.

Could you confirm that you are using our latest version to not mistake this for an old bug.

If this was the case, could you send us a report including the log files using the Feedback Button.

Hi @Rick_Marx ,

Please check the video below:

It clearly illustrates the bug.

Assets layer in Rhino

Unable to place assets

Unable to place assets

Bogdan already brought up something wrong with Enscape and Rhino layer. There have been quite a few people complaining similar issues. My workaround is to place “_” in front of Enscape object layer so that it stays on the top of the layer list.

Hi,

I still have this problem in my latest version. I think I updated Enscape twice since I first posted this.

The blocks are place in the current layer but the geometry inside is placed in another. This another layer is the first layer in the list of Rhino layers as far as i noticed.

Could you please fix this? It creates a mess in the file. Thank you

Hi @FloatingVolume

Apologies for my late reply.

It seems this is an API issue with Rhino as mentioned by my colleague here.
