Assets buggy when changing/moving them to different layers

I am trying to copy an Enscape asset between rhino layers (Rhino 8 and Enscape 4.0.0.1305) . If I try to change the assets layer, copy the asset to layer, or manually copy the assets and try to change the layer of the newly copied asset, I get weird behaviors. It will appear to have changed layers but when I turn off the original layer the asset will disappear…

It acts like a block, so both the block layer and the objects layers have to be changed to the layer you want them to be on.
