Dear development team,
It would be great if you add a check box that’s mean to automatically synchronize the “camera target distance” to the “perspective view focus distance” in render settings>global camera settings or in corona camera modifier. and change “perspective view focus distance” to “override focus” or vice versa.
and then, it must be able to animated for next release. need it for some product design animation.
hi romullus.. sorry, I shouldn’t use “must” words… it’s sounds like forcing, I don’t like force or to be forced.
I don’t really understand about “animated buttons”. animated focus distance is generally used in cinematography. many animator adapt it not only for movies industry, and some friends is working on it for product design advertisement (I’m not really sure what is their render engine for animation, about vray in max or Pixar in maya. I think it is a nice feature.
Hmmm… you can animate the focus distance with no hassle in corona camera mod, but i see a problem there. Once animated you loose viewport feed back of where is that override focus actually.
I try to wire those parameters together (i dont know if possible) just to get a float<->bezier float incompatbility.
Maybe some scripting wire genius here?.. i’m newbie.
Its is possible to link those values manually using wire parameters? it could be usefull to know where that override is pointing to give viewport feedback
thanx borisquezadaa, wire parameter… I didn’t ever think about that. good idea for tricking.
but I think the goal for corona is when user can do rendering with simple work flow & setup without any trick. in this case, user can animate the target camera which is linked to focus distance without any trick.
hmmm… an hipotetical use would be a camera with cameramod on it. if you animate the focus distance that way you loose “visual” track of where that focus is actually pointing at in scene cause the “focus” dummy of the camera does not move accordingly, i guess.
