I finally got my boss to buy a proper scatter plugin - what’s the best performance wise?
There is such alot of plugins: Vray scatter, forest pack pro, the new vray grass plugin (yes, I’d like to be able to create large fields of grass…)
Any ideas?
Depends on ur budget methinks.
I just conviced our final boss to get some 7.5 Xstream licenses, but they are really expensive imo and require beast machines to keep it running stable, but the results are stunning imo…oh yea , and it does grass as well 
I enjoy using Autograss and Vrayscatter…I think FPP looks great, too.
Naturetools should be good when its released… eh Davy 
I’ve been using Vray Scatter for about six months and have found it to be a real time saver. Quite simple and flexible. It’s not perfect. I wish you could have multiple meshes in each scatter object like FP, but I think that might be included in an upcoming release. On the whole I’m quite pleased with the plugin.

that “coming soon” has been coming for a long time now already. Me and I’m sure others are keeping our budgets open for Davy’s tools, but we can only wait so long - and then kick ourselves when it comes out the next day
Okay - I’m convinced - bought Autograss plugin yesterday…can’t wait to start those test scenes!
