Blurry rendering output

Hi there, I have been using Enscape for a few months now, with no formal training. I have noticed that the renderings come out blurry, especially the edges, wondering if I am doing something wrong here.

My output is set to HD or Ultra HD and highest rendering quality. I then press the screen capture button to render. It literally takes seconds, wondering if this is the correct way to do final renderings? One of the renderings attached.

This looks pretty sharp to me.
You can increase render size using custom sizes rather than HD or Ultra HD.
The rendering quality setting doesn’t relate to the export just the live enscape window.
You might want to check you don’t have depth of field set which focuses on a certain depth range and blurs everything else.

Thanks, Steve.

The image is too small to properly assess small blurring issues.
In any case, I suspect that, rather than the depth of field, it’s the “chromatic aberrations” value that needs to be checked. This default value is not set to zero and can give the impression of some uncertainty at the edges of the image.

Thank you so much, very helpful!

You may be sorted by now, but as Steve says above check your output resolution settings in Enscape. It defaults to 1080 which is super rapid to render but a tiny bit blurry. Increase it to Ultra HD (ie 4K) and it looks a lot sharper. You can go custom if you like just be prepared for renders to take an awful lot longer!

Also check your depth of field/auto focus settings, make sure you haven’t inadvertently set a manual focal point. Should be ‘Auto’ by default which just makes everything sharp.
