Hi, its me - the beginner - again!
I am sure I am totally missing a very simple setting here, but please help me out. thank you!
I tried to fill a glass with water and to let the water flow out slowly - setting the Fuel to zero at the PHXSource, gradually rising in time.
I activated the Liquids option in the simulation and the water starts flowing right from the beginning, ignoring my settings.
What am I doing wrong?
Another question on the side: I noticed that it is neccessary to make the object quiet thick so the simulation actually accepts the object for the interaction and the glass fills up. is that normal?
thanks again for all the help! I really appreciate it.

what version are you using?
since 2.1 liquid fuel is not supported anymore, just use the PHXLiquid source
about the glass thickness: yes, it’s normal, the option that controls this is the object voxels, by default it is set to “inscribed” when liquids are simulated, change it to “center”, but i don’t recommend it, you will have rendering issues afterwards
Latest nightly with V-Ray 3.
Thanks for the info! Succesfully stopped my liquids from flowing. Haha
Is this broken? I am using the latest Phoenix nightly build for Vray 3 and my liquid doesnt stop flowing, even though I keyframed it and am using the Liquid-source..what else could be happening?
EDIT: further testing made it seems like the liquid node has to move so the liquid can stop flowing…is that right?
well, it seems like we have broken the animated sources, this is a bug, it should be not like this. i just made simple test from scratch and really the source does not respond to the animation.
