We are trying to download the asset library on our desktop. For some reason we get this popup when starting the download.
Our internet connection is stable.

the same problem here. After updating Enscape to 3.2.0 version the ‘Offline Asset Library’ stopped working and cannot be updated.
Same here unfortunately…
This is an issue which should’ve been resolved by now already - Could you kindly also restart your machine, and try again? If you’re still unsuccessful afterward or have tried that already please let me know.

However, switching between custom assets tab and main library tab is a bit laggy - about 10sec loading screen (it was instant before update).

I seem to be getting nowhere
My colleague already replied back to you today. 
I am having the same issues with downloading the asset library for offline use. I too have a stable connection and the download aborts with the error message about half way through download. I have tried it also from my PC at home and have the same issue.
Ok. I may have identified what my problem was. I store Enscape Assets on a drive that is synced up to the Cloud. I set my location to a non synced location and the download went through without failure. I then moved the downloaded content to the synced folder (having previously deleted the old content). I then turned off the offline assets within Enscape and turned it back on again setting the location back to the synced drive and used the existing content option. All is now fine.
