I updated to new version of vray and chaos cloud and uploding a few renders take so much time. One pic aprox 10-15 minutes. It all started to happen after cloud uploading was built into the asset editor.
I am using Vray for Rhinoceros.
Hello peter_nestor,
We noticed a number of job uploads from your account recently.
Could you please provide more details about the jobs that were time-consuming to upload:
- Is there a specific job or multiple jobs that were uploading slowly?
- Were these jobs submitted from the same project?
- Could you share the job IDs? To find the job IDs, you can refer to the following article: How to get a job ID
I had the same issue very recently with uploading and downloading and I never really got the bottom of it.
Hello ValeroStudio,
From what I can see, it appears that your jobs has already been deleted. Please note that we do not support deleted jobs, as we do not have all the information needed to investigate the case.
If you report an issue with a job, please do not delete the job until our team has finished investigating the issue.
They were not jobs submitted using this account. They are using my office work account.
Hi ValeroStudio,
To assist you with troubleshooting any issues with your jobs, please provide us with your job ID. To find the job IDs, you can refer to the following article: How to get a job ID
This issue seems to be back for me. Very slow uploading and downloading.
We’ve experienced the same issues ever since the update as well (3ds Max), unreasonably slow upload times to the point that rendering an animation is nearly impossible.
Hi ValeroStudio and ryan_companies, to investigate what could be causing the long upload, we will need the job IDs.
Hi zhanet.georgieva, we’ve also noticed when Forest Pack or Rail Clone is used in a scene the upload is much slower than without -- sample job that took about 15 minutes to upload a single frame is below
Job ID: L8k8JUErFqxeLdZb
Hi ryan_companies,
I have double-checked and I see that you have an open ticket in our system where you shared your project, which is quite heavy. We will investigate your scene and contact you once we have more information.
I had the same issue
It would be great to get an update on this..
Dear all,
At this point, we aren’t experience any general upload issues on our end, which is why having the job IDs is important. It’s possible that the issue could be scene-related. For example, simpler scenes tend to upload much faster, while heavier scenes with lots of geometry may take longer.
If you’re experiencing slow uploads, please don’t forget to share your job IDs with us. Additionally, as a test, try uploading a simpler scene and let us know if the issue still occurs in that scenario.
To find the job IDs, you can refer to the following article: How to get a job ID
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Having the same issue, I was told by support some time ago that is because of large amounts of Forest pack items.
Job ID: M4w_GKef7SjSoZw7
Hi captaink,
I’ve reviewed your job and tickets, and from the information provided, it seems that the slower upload speed is due to the complexity of the scene, particularly with the large number of small objects. This is especially common when using plugins like Forest Pack or RailClone, which are designed to generate a lot of geometry. When a scene includes such a high volume of elements, the time required to upload naturally increases. We understand that this isn’t always optimal and appreciate your patience.
