Consistency when rendering

I get my scene looking nice in Vantage, hit render, and it changes. It is like things like my LUT is being ignored.

In render dialog, There’s a check box to bake color corrections in

First… are u saving as a png or exr. If exr, then you can bake correction. Ive been struggling with a png file. I get it all looking good and when I render out my image, and open in photoshop. The image is desaturated and kind of dull. This started happening a couple of updates ago. Really frustrating and time consuming. Oh and who decided to change the look of the forum. It really sucks.

GLORYBOUND… did u ever resolve your render issue?

Yes, I’ve noticed that too. The post-production settings are being reset. But if you save the Vantage scene after making any adjustments, there’s no problem. However, I think this is an issue because it’s easy to forget, and it wasn’t like this before. For example, if I’ve turned the sun on, it disappears when I press render.

So save it with a different name?

So it seems for some reason the only way to get it to look like the viewport in Vantage is to go to PS and select Edit>Color Settings> and select Monitor color. Or add a srgb color profile. Which I never had to do in the past. So what changed?

Hey guys,

Are you using Live link rendering or from a loaded vrscene? When opening the Render mode is any scene state selected in the Camera rollout? Can you send a video or screenshot of the issues so we can better understand what is going on?

Best regards,
Alexander

This is very strange… When I’m in Vantage, whether in LIve Link mode or in the actual vrscene. What I see is different when saved. Even screen grabbed. Like Vantage has it’s own color setting but it’s not the same color setting as my laptop monitor. Even though everything is set to srgb gamma 2.2.

Seems like I might have found a solution. In photoshop if I set my color settings to Monitor as a default, then what renders out of Vantage opens up correctly. My currently color profile on my Legion laptop defaults to SDC420B. Does Choas recommend another?
