Gaussian splats are being considered for the future release in Corona: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/ 3D Gaussian Splatting #msg228150
There are multiple discussions about that in the forum already, you may want to do a quick search if you want to stay up to date on the topic.
Thanks for the help @romulus
Hi,
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread.
Using Corona V14.1 now.
It’s a nice build. Lots of cool stuff over 13+ version.
I was testing it for Gaussian splats yesterday.
Through Blender Skysplat and Colmap.
I was just wondering if there are different better routes into making Gaussian Splats for free?
Thanks,
For now i was using EPIC Realityscan and then exporting it to colmap and then via lichtfeld studio to gaussian splats … then clean everything up on selfhosted supersplat.
Thanks for the info. I’ve been looking at that workflow too. We unfortunately don’t get much drone footage to work with here, so I have to rely on virtual capture instead. Sometimes it’s tricky to get the same relative quality as nice 4k raw drone footage, but sometimes that’s a luxury the client won’t extend to. I’m subsequently testing out a few workflows to see what the best, highest quality end result is available.
