We just updated to corona 14 today and have run into an annoying issue. So if you save the CXR and open it up through corona image editor, go to save all and select “openEXR” from the dropdown menu it will save the file as CXR. There seems to be something wrong here. The only work around I was able to figure out was, to go to save all and in the dialogue box press “TAB” and the hit “o” on the keyboard and hit save. Is it possible to get this fixed in the CIE ?
Hi,
You probably mean Corona 14 Update 1, right?
This may be a small oversight - if you pick open EXR format, the output file name may still have “.cxr” in the end, causing it to be saved as CXR.
Please make sure there is no “.cxr” in the end of the output name for any format you specify in the dropdown, and let me know if the output results are as expected.

I opened up a CXR and if I go to save all by default you cant see .cxr at the end of file name and i selected openexr from the dropdown menu and hit saved with default name and it saved a cxr. But if I remove the name and type it again it saves fine. There is clearly a hidden .cxr extension in the filename that I cant see and also why is this happening when I am selecting openexr from the dropdown menu. It is definitely a bug and needs to be fixed.
It prefills the opened filename, and the default Save as type is OpenEXR. If you change save as type to something else, you will see the extension updated. Then if you change back to OpenEXR, you shall see .exr in the end of the output name. It is just the first open of save dialog which comes with .cxr in the end while OpenEXR is the set save as type.
This is reported to be improved, i.e. either remove file extension from output name altogether, either force-update it with the set save as type.
