Corona render - interactive - lightmix

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxqR3RTXIgs

Description:
I am experiencing an issue where light intensities in LightMix do not return to their original state.

Steps to reproduce:

Open a saved project in 3ds Max.

Start rendering (Interactive).

In the VFB (LightMix tab), I uncheck a light source (e.g., CoronaSun or CoronaSky).

When I check it back on, the light is much dimmer than before, even though the numerical multiplier value remains the same.

The whole scene stays dark and I cannot restore the original brightness without restarting (open recent) or manually overdriving the values. Is there a setting I’m missing to keep these values persistent?

What you see in the VFB at first is the Beauty render element - you can see it in the top-right corner of the VFB, this is visible in your screenshots and the video. When you touch anything in LightMix, then the currently visible render element automatically switches to LightMix, so you see the effect of LightMix. In short, here is what you are doing:
seeing Beauty (bright) > click something in the LightMix tab > seeing LightMix (dark)

To prevent this:
When opening the VFB, always manually switch to the LightMix render element - this way the Beauty element won’t confuse you.
And/or: reset your LightMix intensities and colors to their original values - this will make your LightMix appear the same as Beauty and you can then focus on tweaking your LightMix settings.

I hope that helps!

Thanks a lot for the advice,

the Blake somehow works, although it took me half a day to research it,
I don’t really know what’s going on and the differences, but it’s depressing when it does it with the help of a course and then you spend half a day figuring out why it’s messed up,
anyway, thanks again for the response.
