"Could not obtain a GUI license!" Happens way too often to work reliably. What´s wrong?

Hello everybody,

I am used to Vray losing it´s license once in a while, but now Phoenix does the same thing.
How can I quickly and uncomplicated get that license to work again?
I need to reboot not only my workstation but also all render nodes, and in the middle of a project, this really sucks.

Is there no workaround for those issues? Guys, I paid for vray and phoenix, just let me use the tools, it´s not necessary to put obstacles like these into the workflow of your users… happens to no other software or plugin I use, it only affects vray and phoenix. Please change it soon.

Hello,

Please uninstall the Chaos Group license server and remove any remaining files from the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup

Afterwards, download and install the latest Chaos license server 5.1.2 from the following page:

https://download.chaosgroup.com/downloads/7374/licenseserver-standalone-512-adv

Go to the localhost page (localhost:30304), enable your Online licensing and tell me if you can see your Phoenix FD licenses. If this doesn’t fix your issue, please contact us at support@chaosgroup.com with a screenshot from your localhost page.
