I will try to add more frames when I get some time…

Gonçalo

Very Nice! I especialy like the evening shots. Can’t wait to see it with some more frames.

re

I love your water…what settings did you use for it?

ST

great ! even in the small animation there´s a lot of ambient. never thought of dreamscape, is it realy good ? and what about the daylight system ? is it from max oder a new one and do you have to tweak a lot to get realistic results ? questions over questions, but it looks intresting for me.

Hi thanks for the comments

ST: The water its a VrayMlt with white reflections, white refractions with interpolated glossy refractions and IOR 1.33 and some green fog.

Metroberlin: DreamScape is very nice and easy to use, I ve only to link the DreamScape Sun to Max/Viz Daylight System and to get this effect excluding all the objects from DS sun, The IES Sun do the rest with a color mapping at 0.025.

Its a pity that I cant use Vray in ME using DreamScape environment… :frowning:

Gonçalo

really cool Goncalo

how about a tutorial ? for the lazy lot like me

yes, i second that!!!

Goncalo, that’s quite a nice animation. One tiny little thing bothers me about it - when the sun is somewhere between 12:00 and 1:00 the edges where the walls meet under the overhang on the left seem to glow.

It’s probably physically correct, and I’ve just never paid attention to it before.

In any case, very nice, my friend

Hi Keith,

Actually the walls doesnt meet there, there is a gap beetwen them wich is not preceptive at this size but thats why it seems to glow, what you see is a bounced light from the floor.

About the tutorial…humm lets see… what do you really like to know?

Gonçalo

OK, I see now. Very cool, dude.

that is AWESOME. I am not familiar with Dreamscape. Is that what you used for the sky image? i am curious as to what you used to simulate the sky-light and if/how you animated the settings for it.

sean

The skylight is DreamScape sky only, so you only need to link the DreamScape Sun to the Daylight System and animate the last one to get a animated skylight.

Gonçalo

are there gi and shadows from vray in it ? i think the shadows are from DS. is it possible to link a vray shadow to the DS sun ?

The shadows are from the Vray not DreamScape, I ve exlude all the objects from DreamScape Sun…

Gonçalo

how can u reflect the sun ??? its a lens effect ?

okay. so far, so good. can someone remeber the sss-test from vlado with DS water ? does someone have this file ? as i can remember vlado wanted to sent it to someone…thanks

how can u reflect the sun ??? its a lens effect ?

looks interesting…more frames please

Gonçalo, you are a crack!

(Put one of those emoticons you have; soemthing hats off, applauding or alike)

If you still were playing football, Joan Laporta would be trying to contract you just now, he promised 2 media cracks for the F.C. BCN , and for the moment he only has 1; Ronaldinho Gaúcho ( :?: we still can’t believe how it is he did not finish playing with the Man. Utd. :?: )

As for the tut, well, starting from explaining what is this DreamScape thing, how you link IES Sun and Background, etc.

Did you really used an IES Sky and Sun? or usbstituded the IES Sun by a standard light?

I really though you were having some well deserved hollidays.

Fermí

I only have one machine to render those it needs some patient

I got the point, I will try to dissect what I ve as soon as I can…

hehe Fermí, you get Quaresma form Sporting… I ve heard that he was the best player in the last game  with Juventus
