I forgot to deactivate the license on my Office PC. How can I deacivate the licence remotely. I need to use the license on my home PC. I often switch back and forth and sometimes forget to deactivate. Is there a way to deactivate the license withouth phyically opening the PC/opening the design software..etc.
@YoungEnscape , I’m afraid there is currently no way to revoke a license remotely - At least not directly so you could at least use remote desktop software for example to connect to that machine and reset the license this way. Let me know in case any other questions come up!
Isn’t it a silly process they make us go through in order to float between the new normal workplace? -i.e. - Office and Home. Certainly not worth the “floating license” fee they want to charge at the door. My 2c.
Totally agree with this last comment. Enscape, can you facilitate that in any shape of form? Many architects now work partly remote and partly in office, some of them are working for small firms or are sole proprietors with no employees. They are using Enscape and logging in and out anyway , switching from office to home. Why not make their lives easier without forcing them to buy floating seats? I see those more directed towards large firms with more financial resources. And I bet the small owners represent a large chunk of Enscape’s billing, so please come up with a system? It could be as easy as linking it to the Sketchup session, so you know it is always the same user in Sketchup and Esncape / no need for floating license.
Microsoft’s guidelines and software has nothing to do with how Enscape handle’s license seats.
