This is the latest cut of my 2006 demoreel. All work seen here has either been directed by myself, co-directed by myself, or worked on by myself. About 90% of it has been produced with VRay, most of which has appeared here at one time or another. This work ranges from various studios over a number of years. Fantastic! What is your approach when you do a demo reel? Do you pick music first, and then decide how to choreograph? Seems like a ton of work. Did you edit this in Combustion, or AE? Or something else…
There are sites that you can buy royalty free music from, but I bet for using something like the Crystal Method you have to get written permission to use the song, or some sort of agreement. If you do not have legal permission to use a soundtrack you can get into big trouble.
super dupa - RR always perfectly demonstrating the tenuos link between creative talent and technology. -- I miss your old website and the resources by the way
timmatron - I choose music first then edit - in AE (which is not really wise but easy for me…)
Jujubee - will definitely be at Siggraph - looking forward to meeting up with whoever’s going from here.
With regards to royalties - we’ve paid for 2 minutes of this track but for another project - so this doesn’t really fit into that category. Having said that, I should write Netwerk Music (I believe) and check it out.
