Test drive displacement in enscape 3.1
Hey! It looks like the attachment wasn’t added properly - can you please try to insert it again? ![]()
Thanks! A fantastic showcase of what a proper displacement material can look like, lovely. <3 I’ve also copied your image into the first post of yours so everyone can more easily see the rendering.
Thanks! for your appreciation and your Enscape team for making everything possible…
I may have missed it—is there a difference in the way that the displacement maps work in 3.1? That looks a lot better than what I’ve been getting.
No,It’s usual one setting for displacement maps… there is no extra setting…but it depends on PBR materials… You can check them out
on Free PBR Material Sources… ![]()
I did some tests too, and before obtaining excellent results, with various materials, I had to remember that the textures also containing the displacement map must be applied with the correct orientation. ![]()
Yes! U got it…Thanks for Ur review..
Thanks @saurav , I didn’t really know much about PBR materials and displacement before reading this post, but I checked out those websites you linked and have been having fun with them!
Grazie @saurav , mappe di spostamento fanno la differenza.
Ecco un render molto semplice con 1 texture 8k, 1 asset, 1 orizzonte “montagne” ed enscape con mappa di spostamento.
Con mappa di spostamento
senza mappa di spostamento
Yes that’s simple as it is…one displacement map is a game changer in enscape3.1…And U did the good job ![]()
Thanks, these are just tests that made me think about a possibility of improvement of Enscape.
How difficult would it be to make the shadows follow the same displacement map on which they impact? TIP @Demian_Gutberlet
