hi, im trying to improve my displacement, so here are 3 tests i did, one for a carpet, another is my attempt of making something that can be like fur(but its hard to get the effect) like on image 2 and 3 (its a shame we dont have vray fur for sketchup), and the other is making some decent grass, hope you like this and any c&c are welcome. also if there are any questions from the “begginers” with displacement ill be glad to help.

I’m still having a hard time when it comes to consistency with displacement. What is your no fail workflow? Do you subdivide and group every plane with displacement?

I am new with Vray for SketchUp and having hard time creating grass and fur as nice as your test rendering. I am not sure if it is the texture we use or the displacement setting. Would you kindly share your setting and the texture map? I am sure a few others in the forum as well as myself would be greatly appreciated.

Earthmover: I just group the faces, but this is just for make it work, the thing comes intersting when modifying the displacement parameters, ill post something this week.
