I had to install back all the software from scratch on a server (windows xp , 3dsmax and vray).
Now, most of times, when I use this server with DR I get the message
‘render host unknown (192.168…) is not responding’.
The same scene with net render works well.
What is wrong? Is there any setting I can modify?
Why do I get ‘unknown host’? It should be named ‘serverXX’, as all others servers…
I’m sure 3dsmax and vray are the same as in others servers…

And more generally I’ve just seen that others servers have wrong names… (server2 is named wks4 (another pc), and so on)

sounds like your server settings need work?
Has it been about 2 weeks? Did you DHCP re-assign IPs to your machines?
Check your IPs and make sure you assigned the same ones in the DR setup.
