Dr2 with two nodes stops randomly when rendering animation

I thought I’ll give DR2 a new try with two nodes instead of only one. As soon I am rendering with a third node, the animation still ends randomly without any message or visible reason… any scene… Nothing I can rely on, for client jobs…
So tired…

Hi,

I’ve just tested rendering an animation with 2 render nodes on my side and didn’t run into any issues, so it might be something specific to your setup.

  • What versions are you running (Cinema 4D and V-Ray)?
  • What are the specs of the machines?
  • Are you rendering on CPU or GPU?
  • Does it always fail on the same frame or randomly?
  • Are you using any specific plugins or scripts in the scene?
  • If possible, it would be helpful if you could share one of the scenes where this happens (even a simplified version), so we can try to reproduce it.

Hello @zhanet.georgieva,

sure:

Main Workstation & Node 1:

Win11 PRO / C4D 2026.3.1 / Vray 7.2 / CPU Rendering only / Bucket Mode

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7980X 64-Cores / 128 GB RAM

Node 2:

Win11 PRO / C4D 2026.3.1 / Vray 7.2 / CPU Rendering only / Bucket Mode

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X 64-Cores / 128 GB RAM

Would you need to know more?

Thank you!

I still can’t reproduce the issue on my side.

Can you share:

  • one of the scenes where the issue occurs
  • the DR server logs from your nodes (you can find them here: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp)
  • the console log from the main machine

ok, next time when rendering on two nodes and it happens I will share, but right now I am in the middle of a project and rendering only with one node, over nights, as with two or more nodes is too unsafe.

How do I identify the log file, there are a lot of files in the folder?
Or what’s the name of the file?

The name is vraylog.txt

Hi @zhanet.georgieva thank you. As soon it happens again, I will send everything
