I'm having a problem with the new Enscape 2.0 update for Mac. I was normally using the previous version and now with the new version the application doesn't work. Before the Enscape application appeared when opening Sketchup and in the applications folder, now the applications folder only has some puglin folders and does not actually have Enscape. It appears in Sketchup extensions, but is nowhere to be found. I've already reinstalled Sketchup (both 23 and 23.1) and Enscape, but still nothing...
Hey @pethersonlopes
Thank you for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing these issues. This is a curious case that we’d like to investigate further. Could you please send us the log files contained in these three folders?
/Users/your_user/Library/logs/Enscape/Enscape renderer host
/Users/your_user/Library/logs/Enscape/Enscape vectorworks plugin
/Users/your_user/Library/logs/Enscape/Renderer
Please let me know if you can’t find them, or if you encounter any questions along the way!
Hey! I think this folder was hidden, but I managed to find some. I'll send you a printout and the files, I just couldn't find the Renderer folder.
I took the extreme step of formatting the mac and reinstalling the programs. In Archicad, Enscape appeared in the toolbar, but in Sketchup it appeared in the Extensions Manager but the plugin to be used does not appear... I'm using Sketchup with Roseta, does this have anything to do with that?

Thank you. We’re checking this.
Hey @pethersonlopes
Can you please send us a screenshot of your “About this Mac” window? It can be found in the Apple Menu in the top left corner of your screen at any time. Please also include a screenshot of the load policy window that can be accessed via the gear-shaped button in the extension manager of SketchUp. In the meantime, your log files continue being examined.
Thank you in advance!
Hey all, we have identified the issue and we’re planning to release a version today that will fix this issue. Please visit our downloads page in a few hours and download the latest version that will be released today. This should make Enscape appear in SketchUp just fine.
- Correction: The latest installer is actually available right now. Feel free to try it: http://www.enscape3d.com/download
With the update it worked, both in SketchUp and ArchiCAD! Thank you very much!
Is this ok with SU 2023.1 now too?
Yes
Hi everyone,
I’d to ask if anyone has recent experience with Enscape for Mac with SKP 23. I just bought Mac Studio with M2 ultra and I wanted to switch from V-Ray to Enscape because many clients ask me for animations and flythroughs.
Enscape is stable with Mac and SKP 23? Is it a good switch or it’s better stay with V-Ray?
Thanks Giuseppe
There is no animation/movie support in Enscape for Mac just yet - only in the windows version currenty
So, I’ll have to wait. thanks a lot for the info.
but a part the animation, Is it works well or crashes often?
The latest version works much more stable and is more responsive, it worth installing if you still have the first release.
Video export is WIP, but no specific date yet.
Thanks.
I have the same issues as the others. Bought a license in August and everything was working fine, downloaded the latest version and now it does not render anything.
SketchUp opens > Enscape seems to open > Enscape menu shows > Enscpae window opens, but nothing renders, just a view of the sky
I have attached the logs, Current macOS, sketchup version.
Thank you for you help, hopefully it’s a simple fix??

Graphics drivers for Mac are part of the OS updates - I would look at upgrading to Ventura at this point - that is now a year old and more mature.
