Enscape can't write to directory

Hi,

I do have a support ticket open on this, but its looking like it might take a while to get some resolution so I thought I’d post here and see if anyone has any thoughts.

I’ve installed Enscape 4.2, standalone license (ie not a floating license) on my laptop. It appears to install fine, but running Enscape from the Sketchup toolbar gives the following error:

“Enscape can’t write to directory \companyname.local\userdata\bristoluserdata\my.name\Documents\Enscape”

This appears to be where Enscape has installed its settings files and the assumption is that, due to our IT policy which redirects all user profiles to a network location, this is being treated as a network location when Enscape wants it to be a local location?

Is there a way to move the contents of the Enscape Documents folder somewhere local, or get Enscape to install everything to another specified folder and have Enscape write settings etc to that location?

Any help appreciated as we can’t currently use the software.

Thanks

Any updates on this issue? I seem to have the same problem. I don’t understand how some files end there or why it can’t be changed.

I can’t even click on the support button as below error pops up

Hi, possibly not a very helpful update but check your firewall settings - Enscape is working for me now, what happened was I was working on my laptop when out of the blue I received a firewall notification asking to allow Enscape access. So I allowed access and Enscape has worked fine since that point.

So yeah, presumably something firewall related but I’m not entirely sure what or why.
