I use Sketchup and Enscape, and Enscape keeps crashing.
It happens when I start modelling in Sketchup white Enscape is open. Then the Enscape window just closes / disappears.
If I disable live update, while modeling, then escape don’t crash.
I’m searching for some help as this makes it almost impossible to work. I have tried different versions of Enscape, both “normal” and preview releases, and different nvidia drivers.
I have send an log file via the support feature in Sketchup.
Thank you @Jorgensen_dk , it is appreciated that you’ve submitted a support report right away. If you haven’t already heard back from the support team you will soon thereafter of course once we’ve had the chance to check out the additional log files which were sent alongside your machine information (incl. driver dates) as a whole.
In case there is anything else I may be able to assist you with in the meantime please let me know.
I get this error sometimes as well but usually after rendering. its almost like all of my memory has been used and enscape wont start again until i restart.
I got a response from customer services about it. I tend to use a really big disc with a grass texture on it as the basis of my models, and from what they could see this was so big it was exceeding the maximum size that Enscape/Sketchup could handle effectively and was causing it to lock up. Hopefully reducing this element will solve the issue for me.
Since I installed the latest version of Enscape this stops working as soon as I open two different Revit files in the same session.
The error is the same as reported immediately above by other users.
I have already sent a support request with the log.
recent software-side changes:
installed the new version of Enscape
installed Revit 2025 (but the error also appears with previous versions of revit where it always worked correctly)
I tried reinstalling the old version but the error now occurs with it as well. I also tried uninstalling Enscape and reinstalling it but it does not improve.
Any suggestions?
is really frustrating since I have to close and reopen Revit every time I want to launch enscape
@m.cattaneo , thank you for submitting a report to the support team alongside - We will troubleshoot the exact cause behind this issue and get back to you via the created case soon thereafter.
Hello
I have a problem with my Enscape crashing and refusing to load up again, no matter what I try: in other file or empty Archicad file, tried to reinstall it, install different versions, drivers or even trued to load it on the other workstation - all to no avail.
It shows the same error in the logs for both computers. [.NET TP Worker] | ERROR | System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCanceledException: A task was canceled.
I submitted the support request, but still waiting for the response. It is a bit frustrating problem to have while on a deadline.
Yea I have a similar situation. Currently been crashing more than ever. I can get 2-3 renders in one session of enscape and revit but eventually it crashes the enscape window and the then revit session must be restarted to resume rendering.
Hi @iCON_N , we’ve sent you a reply through the dedicated support case of yours just to let you know if you haven’t tried what was suggested within. If the proposed solution does not make a difference you can simply reply back or ideally directly submit a new dedicated report alongside which would then be very helpful to receive thereafter.
I can report what happened today, the newest update to enscape as well as the newest update to the gpu driver in some combination has fixed my problem. I can now peacefully switch back and forth between live enscape views in multiple open projects within revit. I haven’t tried rendering multiple (5+) in row yet, but a single render from each project in the same session worked.
