I’m currently having problems to open my Enscape 3.3 on my laptop, as it always stuck at 5% and not moving for hours. I don’t know what’s wrong. I have NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050Ti and Intel Graphics 630. My laptop is also a gaming laptop with Intel i7. Will someone help my current problems?
I have changed the setting on my NVIDIA Graphic Drivers, based on the suggestions, to:
put the program settings at Sketchup 2022 to “prefer maximum performance”
the settings on Open GL also in “prefer maximum performance”
Generally, it is not really necessary to put those settings to “prefer maximum settings” as it usually does not yield a noticeable difference overall, and it mainly will affect the battery life though. In case you are using the laptop mainly plugged in you can keep the configuration.
Furthermore regarding the issue itself, please make sure to follow this guide here for NVIDIA users:
I’ve done the first part, as in from the same website that guides on how to manage the NVIDIA Card performance settings. But it still doesn’t change.
And on the website, it’s written to change the Power Management Mode into NVIDIA driver-controlled, but somehow I can’t find the option in mine, so I chose the Prefer Maximum Performance.
But it still doesn’t work, as it stays at 5% when I open the Enscape.
So I did the second guide (disabling the Intel Graphic Card through Device Manager), but I can’t open the Sketchup right after.
How big exactly is the file You are trying to open.. I myself managed to make files witch were making ENS stack on 60%.. in my case restarting PC and turning on only sKetchup with ENS helped.. I guess 5% would require a bit more of a cleanup.
And I have a stationary PC a bit better than You..
Edit.. You can for example save some parts of Your model which You don’t need to see as a proxy objects..
Dear @tomasz_drgas , I tried to open the Enscape rendering on a blank file. But it still stuck at 5% for hours after waiting. Been trying to restart my laptop too back and forth, but the result remains the same sadly…
You should be able to download earlier sKetchup and it should work on Your licence.. for me it just sometimes requires login once more.. I had to work on 2021 for some time when 2022 was not supported yet..
I guess You can go even all the way down to 2019?
and then You could try it with some ENS before 3,3,0
After trying all the ideas posted here, what eventually worked for me on Sketchup 2022 and Enscape 3.3 with Nvidia RTX A2000 card was enabling PhysX on the GPU from Nvidia control pannel. I’ve just selected Base Profile in “Manage 3D setting → Global Settings” and then edited “CUDA - GPUs” and selected the Nvidia Card.
