Hi all. I’d like to share some of my recent works here that I rendered using Enscape for Revit. I’ve posted a couple of earlier draft images before, but these are near final now. I found a workaround in improving materials texture in Enscape for Revit to add some depth (previously seemed very flat). Sometimes we need that extra layering of bumps/texture that are available in other render engines like VRay to add that depth of realism and imperfection. I tried to recreate that here using simple methods in Enscape for Revit.
They are IES Revit lights. As far as I know, Enscape lights are only available in Sketchup, which is a huge inconvenience. A lot of people use other modeling software like Rhino and Revit, but we have to rely on native Rhino lights (which suck). Fortunately IES lights in Revit can render quite nicely.
I’m working with interior design as well and one of my biggest struggles with renderings are obviously softer furniture like sofas, beds and so on and of course textures. I believe the biggest issue are that you cannot combine both normals, bump and displacement maps togheter with both gloss and reflection in Enscape. However with Enscapes material editor it is possible to add the displacement maps in a very nice way which helps the textures to look more realistic but there is still some stuff to do.
