Environment fog in vray 6

Anyone managed to locate the environment fog in Solaris Vray 6? In the release notes it is written that it should be there, but I can’t find out how to add it.

Houdini still doesn’t have V-Ray6 yet. So that’s why.

The way Solaris/USD works (you can’t have node networks in all the places you may want them) it’s a bit non-intuitive to setup, here is a example.

OH, my mistake!! its just release yesterday!!

thanks!!

Thanks! It is not very obvious indeed… Also it seems that it is not working in the viewport render, only when using USD Render ROP, which is a shame as it is very handy to preview the effect in the viewport.

Could you send me your setup? Cause it works for me in viewport…

How do I send it in private?

There is an email in my signature.

Hi,

I had a look at this setup and it seems there (at least in the viewport) some artifacts if you crank up some of the volumesettings.

Hello. I just checked your set-up. And it’s constantly crushing if I change any parameter in Environment fog.

Could you pls send me a hip file? Seems no crash for me…

it’s yours file without changes

Then you probably will have to use more recent build, because I can’t reproduce the crash.

Thanks. Yes, problem was in Vray 5. I just installed latest build of vray 6 and everything works perfect
